dermal fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers are the most widely used fillers in the UK and have a very high safety profile. Hyaluronic acid is found in the connective tissue of our dermis, in combination with collagen and elastin fibres, they give the face form, shape and hydration.

It is estimated that 30 million patients around the world have been treated with some form of hyaluronic acid.

The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly, diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles and giving a natural softer look which can last around 6 to 9 months.

  • Nasolabial lines (nose to mouth lines)
  • Marionette lines ( mouth to chin lines)
  • Lip bleeder lines otherwise known as smokers lines
  • Lip definition and lip volume
  • Deep frown lines
  • Volume loss in cheeks
  • Chin enhancement
  • Jowls
  • Skin boosting and skin plumping
  • Hand rejuvenation

There is a product to suit all types of lines whether they are fine lines to deep nasolabial folds (nose to mouth). Teosyal® and Restylane® are formulated to lift these lines and folds. When skillfully injected they will instantly soften and refresh your appearance.

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance the lips giving fuller, more shapely and defined lips.  Add volume to thin lips producing a sensual, more pronounced pout, define the lip line to stop lipstick bleeding and reduce smokers lines.

Facial volume loss contributes significantly to facial ageing. Volume deficits are a result of the loss and repositioning of facial fat, as well as skeletal remodeling.  Dermal fillers are a means of addressing these deficits providing non-permanent enhancement of the face.

Teosyal Intense Volume® and Restylane SubQ® are a safe and effective treatment used for facial contouring and restoring youthful volume in the skin which is lost as a result of ageing.

Be the envy of your friends with your full defined cheeks.

The first signs of aging are often seen in the neck, hands and décolletage.  Skin rejuvenation using microinjections  of hyaluronic acid or hyaluronic acid containing amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals; is designed to give your skin deep dermal hydration from within.

Is the procedure painful?

A local anaesthetic cream is used and the dermal fillers used contain lidocaine an anaesthetic to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Will I see the result immediately?

The result is instant but some areas are prone to swelling such as the lips. This means that the result immediately after the treatment may not be the final result. The swelling typically resolves spontaneously within a couple of days.

When can I go back to work?

There is little downtime so you can resume your normal activities. Some patients may experience some redness and mild swelling, which can be minimized with the application of ice packs. There are specialist foundations available to apply if needed.

Are there any side effects?

As with any sort of injection there can be some bruising and minor swelling, although this is not severe and usually settles within a couple of days.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Typically dermal fillers last from 6-12 months, whilst the fillers used for volume enhancement lasting 12 -18 months. The filler gradually breaks down over time and the area treated will return to its previous appearance.

Beverley Jenik Medical aesthetics uses Restylane® and Teosyal® designed to effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, to contour and create volume in cheeks and lips and to revitalize the skin.
