A natural look using Aesthetics
November 6, 2014 11:26 amThe images of Donatella Versace in todays news has reinforced to me the importance of not overdoing aesthetic treatments. Too much botox, fillers, taut face from facelift combined with the flattening of her nose from her alleged 20 yr addiction to cocaine does not leave her with an attractive look at all! When I go to conferences and master classes and see some of my fellow practitioners looking more like caricatures of themselves with their puffy cheeks and blowfish lips I’m horrified. I like the more natural look myself and the vast majority of my clients do as well. Since starting in this industry in 2006 I have had all the treatments that I administer, myself. I like to know what it feels like to have the treatment done and seeing what the end result is. I believe that I am my best advert for my treatments. Over the years I have had botox regularly, fillers about once every year or two, including my cheeks, lips, nasolabials, marionette lines, glabellar (frown), tear trough and smile lines, though not all at once! I have had TCA peels and glycolic peels and have used Neostrata products on my skin for a number of years now. My skin quality is better with less pigmentation and by having a little “tweak” of filler have reduced the loss of volume in my face and the use of botox has removed the deep frown lines that I had. When I go home to Australia my friends say I haven’t aged since I left 12 yrs ago, who doesn’t love being told that! I have added two photos of me that are 12 years apart to show the difference in my skin and reduction in my lines from these wonderful treatments.
